Privacy

Your PDFs. The files you choose are read, redacted and numbered in your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and nothing in them (no text, no page, no file name) is sent to us.

Your working copy. The files, what was found in them and your choices are kept in your own browser (IndexedDB), so the page survives the trip to the payment page and a reload, and so you can make the set again within 24 hours of paying. Use "Start over" or "Remove" to delete them from the device.

Payment. To start a payment, your browser sends our server a random id for the set, its page count and how many redactions it has, so the receipt can say what was bought. Stripe handles the payment; we never see your card details.

The free pages. Before the free pages are made, your browser sends the set's random id. Our server counts how many different sets your network made free today (the network address is cut to its block for IPv6) and deletes the count after two days.

Emailing yourself the link. If you use it, we send one message to the address you type. The address is passed to our email provider (Cloudflare) to deliver that message and is not stored.

Usage data. We record anonymous usage events: which step was reached, how many files, pages, finds and redactions, which kinds of numbers were found (not the numbers), device type, country, referring site, the page you landed on, how long you stayed, and error types. A random visitor id is kept in your browser so that visits to the guides and the tool count as one visitor. We never record file names, page content, numbers, names or anything you type. There are no accounts.
